Our Unitarian Universalist First Principle refers to respecting the inherent worth and dignity of every person, yet we know that not all people receive the same degree of attention in their living or in their passing.  This service is about acknowledging and attending to others, including those who may be forgotten or overlooked.  In this Memorial Day service we will honor those who have died (including veterans), and reflect on how we can honor one another in our everyday lives.

Note to caregivers of young and/or sensitive children: as part of the service we will remember those who have died during military service, by suicide, or through working for social justice causes.  Families might want to consider whether to have children continue to attend the service after the time for all ages.
