Cosmopolitan Visions, May 29th, 2011

The Rev. Elaine Strawn will tie together the thoughts of two people whom she originally heard Krista Tippett interview: Kwame Anthony Appiah [Cosmopolitanism: Ethics in a World of Strangers] and Francis Kissling [founder of Catholics for Choice]. Her sermon will focus on how we take the longer view on social issues so that we can become compassionate, effective and unifying.

Time to Enjoy the Flowers, May 15th, 2011

It seems to me that most people are very busy these days. There are so many things that require our attention it can be challenging to prioritize time for rest, relaxation and spiritual renewal. This morning will be a meditation on finding and keeping our balance. We will also engage in the ritual of the Flower Ceremony. Please bring a flower (or 2) to share.

Arts Sunday: To Play and to Plumb, May 8th, 2011

Last year I invited several members of our community to participate in a worship service exploring the intersections between art and spirituality. The experience was so rich that we decided to make Arts Sunday an annual event. Come be uplifted. Come be inspired.
