April 18th Spiritual Cinema, 7:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. in Fessenden Hall, “Cave of Silken Web” (CANCELED)

Cave of Silken Web is a Buddhist comedy, created in China by the same people who created the Oscar winning film “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”. This movie is inspired by the Chinese epic poem “Journey to the West”. The story has the monk Tripitama, accompanied by The Monkey King Hanuman, and a talking pig, try to resist the worldly temptations of the Spider Women. These temptations are presented as a satire on western materialism. While the first two hold their own, the pig spirit is far too sensual to resist! See what happens when he tries to pose as his teacher, and enjoy all the forbidden joys! A true The Laughing Buddhalaugh riot!
