Ingathering Sunday – August 27, 2017

One service at 10 AM at Plum Creek Park, Pavilion #2

Led by Rev. Anya Johnston and Director of Religious Education Lily Rappaport

On August 27th we will return to Plum Creek Park as we unite for this exciting church year. This is a service where you are invited to bring water or soil that represents your travels, whether they have been travels of the world, the neighborhood, or of the heart. Experienced UUs will recognize this as “The Water Service” or a slight variation. Newcomers are particularly invited to attend, learn, and share into our community.

On this day we will worship together, at one-service only, starting at 10 a.m. It will be a joy to see families and folks of all ages together for a morning of welcoming and celebration.

Waking Up: What Could it Mean to be Spiritual Yet Not Religious? – August 13

Led by Cal Frye and Worship Associate Lisa Thiel

Another take on the question, “How does an Atheist go to church?” What sort of spiritual practice might a Humanist take up? And what is to be gained from such practice, if not a conversation with the Divine? What place can a poor SYNR find with us on a Sunday morning?

Sunday services are offered at 9:45 and 11:30 AM with Nursery care available during both services.
