Christmas Eve Services

We have lovely services planned for Christmas Eve. Enjoy stories, carols, fabulous music and candlelight all in honor of the babe born in Bethlehem and the unconditional love toward all lives that he taught.

10:30 AM  A morning service led by Lori Fatchet-McGee with Nursery care will be available during the service. Podcast is from this service.

4:30 PM   A service created especially with young families in mind, led by Director of Religious Education Lily Rappaport and our Religious Education Coordinator Colleen Thoele.   (Nursery care is not available during this service.)

6:30 PM  A family-friendly service led by Rev. Renee Ruchotzke with Worship Associate Elaine Bowen   (Nursery care is not available during this service.)

8:30 PM   An adult oriented service led by Rev. Renee Ruchotzke with Worship Associate Elaine Bowen  (Nursery care is not available during this service.)

All Aboard the Polar Express – December 17, 2017

All Aboard the Polar Express! All ages are invited to our annual holiday service to hear the timeless classic, “The Polar Express” about a young skeptic who embarks on a magical journey to the North Pole and learns about friendship, bravery and the spirit of Christmas.

Sunday services are offered at 9:45 and 11:30 AM with Nursery care available during both services.

The Way of Compassion: Jesus and Buddha as Brothers – December 10, 2017

Led by Rev. Tim Temersen, from the UU Church of Akron, with Worship Associate Lisa Thiel

Although residing at the center of very different religious traditions, Jesus of Nazareth and Siddhartha Gautama shared a deep commitment to compassion and peace. Today we will draw on the their teachings to explore the meaning of compassion and the close connection between cultivating compassion in one’s own life and living with compassion in the world.
