Led by Jafar Mahallati and Worship Associate Carolyn Schlemmer

Dr. Jafar Mahallati is currently a Presidential Scholar in Islamic Studies at Oberlin College.  He studied in Iran, the US, and Canada and holds degrees in fields as varied as Islamic theology, civil engineering, and political economy.  He has worked at the UN in the area of conflict resolution. As Iranian ambassador to the UN from 1987-89, he helped broker peace to end the Iran-Iraq war.  His multidisciplinary and multicultural peace-building experience has increased his interest in the importance of friendship among both individuals and cultures.  His students laud his superb storytelling talents that make every topic come alive.

Sunday services are offered at 9:45 and 11:30 AM with Nursery care available during both services.
