A virtual service led by Lori McGee and Worship Associate Christopher Dum
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year and marks the beginning of the summer season. The wheel of the year is turning once again, bringing a new season of warmth, light, and sun. We are also experiencing a turning of the wheel in our culture right now. Life looks so different than it did even a few months ago. There are so many unanswered questions: will COVID-19 be with us forever? Will our jobs resume? Will we ever find a solution to the systemic racism that dominates America? Will our Black friends and family continue to suffer? These are big questions, for which no one yet has answers. This service will look at the turning of the seasons as a way of understanding and coping with all the changes in our lives.
