October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This morning we will celebrate the strength and the courage of those who struggle to find hope and a way to a life lived free from violence. Safer Futures is our local shelter for women and shelter who are fleeing violent homes. We invite you to bring toiletries to church with you this morning to be donated to Safer Futures. Safer Futures is currently in need of toilet paper, paper towels, deodorant and feminine products – although anything is appreciated.
