Lord’s Lunch Congregate Meal
The Lord’s Lunch is hosted at Trinity Lutheran Church of Kent and volunteers consist of local churches, community organizations and families. This meal is served on Saturdays in order to help cover the need for a meal on the weekends when Kent Social Services is closed.
A Trinity staff member, Jenn Hedge, works closely with Kent Social Services and other local groups (e.g., Miller House) who provide food for community members living with food insecurity.
UUCK has purchased/prepared/served this meal from 2-6 times/year for at least the past fifteen years
We are always looking for volunteers to join the UU Kent team–we are an organized, efficient group and we have a lot of fun in the process!
Contact Camille Pavlicek-Fauser for details and the upcoming schedule.
